Deer Management Program

Deer Management Program The Deer Management Program is a pilot program designed to reduce the number of deer through a controlled archery hunt. This program will run for five weeks. At the end of the season, the program will be evaluated and brought forth to the City Council for future direction.

The Rock Island City Council approved up to four private and four public hunting sites during this first year. All hunters are required to follow State of Illinois hunting laws as well as guidelines established by the City of Rock Island.
