Biography
Alderman Ivory Deaon Clark is currently serving his first term on City Council representing the First Ward. Alderman Clark ran for office to serve the people of the First Ward and the citizens of Rock Island as a whole.

Alderman Clark graduated from Rock Island High School in 1991. He graduated from Augustana College with a B.A. in History and Secondary Education in 1998. He is attending La Sierra University completing his Master in Administration and Leadership. Alderman Clark enjoyed teaching children at Rock Island High School. He is currently the Principal at Quad City Seventh Day Adventist Junior Academy. He has been an educator for over 10 years. Children are very important to the mission of Alderman Clark.

Alderman Clark has two daughters. Their ages are 17 and 20. His youngest daughter attends Rock Island High School and the oldest daughter attends Blackhawk College.

Alderman Clark’s favorite thing about Rock Island is the diversity of the people. The people have a diversity of thought, culture, and ethnicity. The First Ward is an excellent example of this diversity.
