Biography:
PJ Foley has been a life-long resident of Rock Island, and is currently serving his first term on City Council. Alderman Foley is currently serving his first term representing the third ward, and his term will expire in May 2013.

He graduated from Alleman High School in Rock Island. In 2001, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and education and in 2005 received a Masters of Organizational Leadership, both from St. Ambrose University. Alderman Foley now works at St. Ambrose University as the Major Gifts Officer.

Alderman Foley serves on the Liquor Control Commission for the City. In addition, he is a board member for the Rock Island Community Foundation, member of the Quad Cities Passenger Rail Coalition committee, Davenport Jaycees member, and member of the young professional's organization The Network.

Alderman Foley is married to Molly Foley, and they have a dog named Smithwick. He enjoys bicycling, reading, volunteering in the community, traveling, and spending time with family. Alderman Foley says his favorite thing about Rock Island is, "I enjoy the great amenities that Rock Island offers from the parks, to the arts and entertainment to the great city services, and the use of the bike paths along the Mississippi River."
