MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. COMMUNITY CENTER BOARD
Duties
The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center Board is involved in the continual planning process for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center and the supervision and distribution of the activity fund. This Board considers policy matters and makes recommendations to the City Council regarding services, priorities and operation of the facility. Recommendations are channeled through the Director of Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center and the City Manager for their consideration and comments. This Board operates according to the articles of incorporation and bylaws of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center, Inc., an Illinois not-for-profit corporation.
Term
Three years.
Public Meetings
The Board of Directors meet the first Wednesday of every month, except July and August. The meetings are held at 5:30 p.m. in the King Center Conference Room at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center, 630 Martin Luther King Drive, Rock Island, IL 61201.
