Hauberg Civic Center
Evening Receptionists, private rental staff.
Highland Springs and Saukie Golf Course
- Inside and outside operations including: Cart Attendants, Starter/Range Attendants, Concessions, Pro Shop Attendants, Golf Course Maintenance/Greens Keepers, and more.
Park Maintenance
- Grounds Maintenance and horticultural work
Recreation
- Day Camp Counselors, Summer Recreation Program Staff, Sports Complex Concession Workers, School break Intersession Program Supervisors, Special Interest Recreation Instructors.
Rock Island Fitness and Activity Center
- Swim Instructors, Lifeguards, Fitness and Aerobics Instruction, Service Center, Day Care
Whitewater Junction
- Lifeguards, Cashiers, Ticket Takers, Pool Manager
Certifications which are advantageous to potential workers:
- Lifesaving and Swim Instruction Certification from the American Red Cross
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- Spray tech certifications from the state of Illinois
- CDL Drivers license
Experience that we are looking for:
- Experience with mowers, tractors, weed eaters, and other landscape equipment
- Experience with children in a camp or day camp setting
- Sport team experience
- Food service experience
Our employees do receive “excess capacity” use of the facility they work at, which may include the Rock Island Fitness and Activity Center, Whitewater Junction, or Highland Springs and Saukie Golf Courses.
