You are invited to enjoy the downtown Rock Island riverfront Tuesday, August 24th at 7pm during a night of music with Smooth Groove. Smooth Groove delivers a nice blend of funk, Latin rock, and rock & roll hits from popular artists over the last five decades. This Quad Cities-based group blends great vocal harmonies with dance music from Santana, the Temptations, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Rick James, the Doobie Brothers, Miami Sound Machine, and a lot more.

Something magical happens during the holiday season at the Hauberg Civic Center! This beautiful mansion comes alive with color and music. Held the first Sunday in December from 1 to 5 p.m. Each room will be decorated by a local community organization and the RI Parks Dept, including our famous poinsettia tree, plus refreshments. Annual Egg Hunt

Location: Lincoln Park
Bring your bags and baskets to Lincoln Park, 11th Ave & 38th St, where there will be many colorful eggs hidden throughout the hunt areas. Some will contain special prizes! There may even be a surprise visit from a very popular Bunny! This event is free and festivities begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. SHARP! Don’t be late as eggs are only available for a short time!

This annual event takes place every spring and fall. Surplus plants from the Longview Park Greenhouse, Horticulture Club members, and the public will be sold. The sale is co-sponsored by the RI Parks & Recreation Dept, the RI Horticulture Club, and the QC Botanical Center. Proceeds from the sale will benefit city beautification projects.

Calling all dogs! Bring your family to Hasselroth Dog Park for a day of fun for all. Agility demo, canine first aid, and vendors with products and services for every dog, and you’ll want to meet our special guests from the Rock Island Police Department K-9 Unit. Prizes awarded in the talent show, dog disc competition, and fashion show.

Recyled Float Race will be held at Sunset Park. Come watch as participants race their floats made out of recyclable material around Lake Potter. Will they sink or float? Want to enter the race?

| The Rock Island Park Board has been offering free live music under the stars in beautiful Lincoln Park for over 50 years! Held every Tuesday for 10 weeks beginning the first Tuesday in June. The genre of music presented ranges from Jazz, Latino, Blues, New Orleans Street Music, Big Band, Barbershop, to classical Rock and Roll. Food concessions and an Ice Cream Social will be available at 6pm, and concerts begin at 7pm. |
