Report a Street Light Outage
The City of Rock Island owns and maintains more than 1,300 street lights in the downtown area and major roadways. The Public Works Department’s Fleet Services / Electrical Maintenance Division maintains these lights.

The City also contracts with MidAmerican Energy Company for the street lighting in residential areas.

Aluminum / Concrete Poles
City-owned street lights are mounted on aluminum or concrete poles. Contact the Public Works Department to report a street light outage.

Wooden Poles
MidAmerican Energy Company street lights are mounted on wooden poles. Contact the MidAmerican Energy Company at (888) 427-5632 to report a street light outage.

Request a New Street Light
