Rock Island is served by eight hospitals in the Quad Cities area, nine immediate care facilities, and hundreds of physicians and dentists with local practices.

Trinity's state-of-the-art West Campus, located in a quiet, residential area of Rock Island, is home to Trinity's inpatient services. The West Campus offers cardiovascular services including the Open-Heart Program, rehabilitation services, obstetrical services including Neonatal Special Care and Maternal Care Center, medical and surgical services, pediatric services, mental health and chemical dependency services offered through the Robert Young Center for Community Mental Health and Riverside, and the Regional Level II Trauma Center including Emergency Pediatric Center.

In recognition of this effort, Trinity was the only hospital in the nation to receive the 1999 Ernest A. Codman Award by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospital Organizations. This is similar to the Pulitzer Prize or the Academy Award in the health care industry, and honors Trinity's innovation and quality of care.

Trinity's 7th Street Campus, which features a beautiful meditation pond in Moline, is the area's first comprehensive outpatient center. The 7th Street Campus, home of the only hospital-based Ambulatory Surgical Treatment Center, is one of only six Post-Surgical Recovery Care Centers in Illinois that provides 20 post-surgical beds and one of only two Freestanding Emergency Centers in Illinois. The facility offers the area's most experienced Cancer Center providing 80 clinical trials and prevention studies as well as diagnostic capabilities, including the Mammotome Breast Biopsy for women and the bone densitometer.
