Alderman Ivory Deaon Clark is currently serving his second term on City Council representing the First Ward. Alderman Clark ran for office to serve the people of the First Ward and the citizens of Rock Island as a whole.
Alderman Clark graduated from Rock Island High School in 1991. He graduated from Augustana College with a B.A. in History and Secondary Education in 1998. He graduated from Western Illinois University with a Masters in Educational Leadership attending La Sierra University completing his Master in Administration and Leadership. Alderman Clark has been an educator for almost 20 years. He is currently the Dean of Students at Rock Island High School.
Alderman Clark is happily married to his best friend, Ana Clark. They have four adult children from their blended family. There are three young ladies ages and one young man.
Alderman Clark’s favorite thing about Rock Island is the diversity of the people. He believes that the people have a diversity of thought, culture, and ethnicity. The First Ward is an excellent example of this diversity.
