    There will be a Free Household Hazardous Materials (HHM) Collection Event on September 11, 2021 from 8 AM to 3 PM at the Rock Island County Fairgrounds, 4200 Archer Drive, East Moline, Illinois.  This is open to all Illinois residents and is hosted by the Illinois EPA and the Rock Island County Waste Management Agency (RICWMA).

  2. Family Fun Day & Parade

    September 11, 2021, 10:00 am - 7:00 pm @ Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center

    Bring your friends, bring your family, bring your appetite, and bring your dancing shoes -- Family Fun Day and Parade are BACK in 2021!! This year we'll have more of everything: more food vendors, more merchandise vendors, more bounce houses, more children's activities, more live entertainment.... and more time! The parade will begin at Frances Willard at 10am, head north on 9th Street, and end at the Martin Luther King Center, where Family Fun Day will continue until 7pm. Live entertainment will include: Metro Youth Program Call-out Round/Dance Battle (2:00-3:00 pm) Acoustic Soul (3:00-4:30 pm) Daniel & Pippy (5:00-6:45 pm) and rapper Young Julio NAACP of Rock Island County is organizing the community resource information fair, which will take place during Family Fun Day.
