Biography 

Moses Robinson Jr, son of Moses Sr. & Ida Robinson is the youngest of 5 children and is a proud native of Rock Island.  Moses attended Grant Elementary, Edison Jr. High and graduated from Rock Island High School. Shortly after graduation, Moses joined the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served his country and received an honorable discharge for his service. Before long, Moses married Yosava Robinson and together they have three children Jeffery, T’Nauzhae, and Jahmeir.  

Moses is actively involved in the community and wears different hats with honor.  He currently serves as the Director of the Metropolitan Youth Program, is the Founder and Director for the Illinois Rage Travel Basketball program, is the Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach, serves on the Park Board for the City of Rock Island and serves on the Audio/Visual Ministry for Second Baptist Church in which he is a member, among others.  

 Moses’ dedication to help others has led organizations to recognize him for his service to the community. Moses was a recent recipient for the Black Hawk College Foundation Leaders Under 40 award. Additionally, he has received the prestigious Martin Luther King Center, “I Have A Dream” Community Service Award, was a Quad Cities Leadership Academy Graduate and received The Citizen of The Year Award for the City of Rock Island.
