The City of Rock Island offers a Curbside Recycling Subscription Program which any Rock Island citizen or business may join.

In January 2008, the City purchased 24 new, fuel efficient hybrid vehicles.

Is there a place in the City to charge an electric vehicle?
There are two electric vehicle charging stations located on the first floor of the parking ramp. The parking spaces are reserved for electric vehicle (EV) parking only. There is no cost to charge your vehicle but there is a $.25 per hour cost to park your vehicle in the metered parking space.
