Rock Island Parks & Recreation Foundation
The Rock Island Parks & Recreation Foundation is an enthusiastic advocate for our city's parks and recreation department. The Foundation is committed to identifying and supporting parks & recreation improvement opportunities by encouraging and mobilizing the financial support of neighborhood groups, foundations and citizens. Foundation Funds Support: start up of new programming endeavors, construction of recreational buildings, facilities or parks, playground replacement, facility upgrades beyond normal maintenance, arts and music programs, and community special events sponsored by the Department.
The Martin Luther King Center
The Martin Luther King Center appreciates all donations to support our programming. As we are located in an impoverished area, our vision is to strengthen youth, families, and neighborhoods. Your support will help us provide homework help, tutoring, mentoring, meals in the youth programs, life skills, computer classes, support to the elderly, and many more services.
We are able to accept your donation in a variety of ways. Checks can be made to The Martin Luther King Center.
The King Center is a non-profit organization with valid 501©3 status making your donation tax deductible. Thank you for considering us in your giving decisions.
The Rock Island Public Library Foundation is a private 501c3 foundation set up in 1986 to support special, non-operational needs of the Rock Island Public Library with the added advantage of tax-deductibility. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, so contributions to the Foundation are the ideal way to create a lasting legacy. Foundation donations to the library are allocated through a grant process.
