The City of Rock Island offers many different activities to choose from. There are plenty of outdoor choices available including two golf courses, an aquatic center, numerous park locations available for picnics, special event and weddings, a full service marina and sports complex that includes lighted baseball diamonds and soccer fields. If you prefer indoor activities many alternatives abound. We have a fitness center for all ages and abilities and many adult and youth learning opportunities. We have deep history in Rock Island and have many neighborhoods that include different architectural styles. The Hauberg Center is a historic mansion that can be rented for events and group gatherings. The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center provides programs and serves for the diverse Rock Island population. There are also three library locations to choose from with even more activities available to our citizens.
