The Eleanor Wallace Dog Park, located at 28th Street and 78th Avenue West Rock Island, is now closed until further notice due to the increasing health concerns surrounding the spread of an infectious respiratory disease in dogs. The American Veterinary Medical Association is recommending that dogs avoid contact with other dogs from outside their household until the illness is contained. A reopening date has not yet been determined. Updates will be posted on the Rock Island Parks and Recreation Facebook Page.
