[ARCHIVED] Changes to January Tuneful Tuesday

Due to expected winter weather, the January 9 Tuneful Tuesday concert with Tony Hoeppner and Friends has been rescheduled to January 30.

Make Plans for Your Tuneful Tuesdays in 2024!The Rock Island Public Library’s popular Tuneful Tuesday series continues in 2024, with Quad City favorites, Tony Hoeppner and Friends now playing on Tuesday, January 30. 

Start your toes tapping in 2024 with live music by Tony Hoeppner and Friends, playing from noon to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 30 at the Rock Island Downtown Library, 401 19th Street. Veteran Quad City musician Tony Hoeppner will be joined by friends Ron Wilson and Jim VanAcker, playing a variety of acoustic classic and cover songs, along with old and new original compositions. Their set-list includes classic and folk rock, blues, R&B and country tunes. The event is free and open to all ages. Bring a sack lunch, and enjoy the music!

In other event changes, the library has reschedule the Jan. 9 Family Craft Night to Tuesday, January 16. The free yarn snowflake craft for all ages is from 6 pm to 7 pm at the Rock Island Southwest Branch, 9010 Ridgewood Road, Rock Island. The craft is free, with registration required. To sign up, visit the event on the library's online calendar or call the Children's Room at 309-732-7360. 

Barring further winter weather, both Tuneful Tuesday and the Family Craft Night will return to their regularly scheduled times in February.  For weather updates, check the library website or follow the library on Facebook.
