Rock Island residents interested in running for Mayor or City Council may pick up a campaign packet beginning July 30, 2024 from the City Clerk’s office, 1528 Third Avenue, 1st Floor. The packet includes general information regarding the election and the necessary forms for nomination. All elections in the City of Rock Island are non-partisan and do not require party affiliation.
Offices to be elected in Rock Island in 2025 include:
- Mayor
- Alderperson Ward 1
- Alderperson Ward 3
- Alderperson Ward 5
- Alderperson Ward 7
The Consolidated Primary Election will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2025 (only if there are more than four candidates running for the same office).
The Consolidated Municipal Election will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
Filing for all candidates will be held Monday, October 21, 2024 through Monday, October 28, 2024 in the City Clerk’s office during the regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
