Smart choices now can make a difference. To help, the Rock Island Public will offer “Smart Strategies for Aging in Place” with Dr. Cathy Rosenbaum on Friday.
The free presentation on April 18 is from 2 pm to 3:30 pm in the Rock Island Downtown Library Community Room, 401 19th Street, Rock Island.
Drawing on her background as a holistic clinical pharmacist with Rx Integrative Solutions of Loveland, Ohio, Dr. Rosenbaum will present on options for graceful aging at home, how caregivers can holistically help loved ones or care clients, and how to get started with technology, resources, and support services. The goal of aging in place is to maintain optimal wellness for all, while staying in one’s home safely, independently, and comfortably.
Dr. Cathy Rosenbaum, Ph.D., is a former Rock Island resident and frequent presenter at the Rock Island Public Library. Her private health and wellness consulting practice in Ohio evaluates medication, nutritional, and lifestyle choices to provide clients with whole-person integrative health recommendations. In addition to being a holistic clinical pharmacist, she is a certified fitness nutrition coach, published author, radio show host, international speaker, and Tai Chi Easy practice leader. Her experience includes hospital-based practice, work in the pharmaceutical industry, health coaching, and academia.
