The City of Rock Island will hold the 2nd Annual Open House on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. to noon for members of the public to explore city vehicles, learn more about city services, programs and watch live demonstrations.
Bring your family to meet our first responders; tour the fire department; and climb inside a fire engine, ambulance, police car, police UTV, one of the City’s new snowplows and a bucket truck.
Watch demonstrations by K-9 Officer Blue and learn how a police dog helps officers; watch the Fire Department demonstrate their drone and learn how it helps firefighters; and learn more about the public works department.
Enjoy free face painting and refreshments.
WHAT: City of Rock Island Open House
WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 4 from 10 a.m. to noon
WHERE: In front of the police and fire stations on 5th Avenue between 12th and 14th streets.
