Step back in time as the Friends of Hauberg Civic Center take you on a docent-led tour of the historic former home of Suzanne (Denkmann) and John Hauberg built in 1911, beautifully decorated for the holidays by the Friends of Hauberg Civic Center, Rock Island Horticulture Club and Rock Island Parks & Recreation Department. Saturday, December 3rd from 4:00-8:00 pm will be historic tours on the hour as well as live piano music. Sunday, December 4th from 12:00 to 5:00 pm will be historic tours on the hour as well as a visit from Santa from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. New this year is the Passport to the Holidays which is a collaborative effort between the Hauberg Center, Quad City Botanical Center, the Butterworth Center and Deere-Wiman House. Attendees are encouraged to visit all three facilities during their holiday open house hours and get a passport stamped at each location. Completed passports will be entered to win one of three gift baskets, donated by each facility. Passports can be picked up at any of the three facilities during open house hours.
