Island Preservation Society, Friends of Longview Park, Rock Island Parks andRecreation, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation to celebrate the
“This Place Matters” 100^th birthday of the Longview Park Chalet and plan for the next 100 years. The event will take place Sunday, October 8^th from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Longview Park, 18^th Avenue and 17^th Street, Rock Island. Come share memories, photos, and recollections of the Longview Park Chalet! There will be children’s activities, entertainment, free birthday cake and ice cream, and $3 brats/$2 hot dogs.
