The Rock Island Library is off to see the wizard on Dec. 27 with an Interactive version of the classic family movie for all ages at the Downtown Library.
The Library's Interactive Wizard of Oz movie will be presented from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 27 in the Community Room of the Rock Island Downtown Library, 401 19th Street, providing people of all ages with free fun during the holiday break. The interactive experience puts a new twist on the adventures of Dorothy, the Scarecrow, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion (and Toto, too) with opportunities to sing along with the Munchkins, boo the Wicked Witch, chant along with the palace guards, and have more fun.
Because each participant gets a free movie kit to go along with the activities, registration is required. To sign up, call the library's children's department at 309-732-7360 or sign up online. The event is free and is for all ages.
