To protect the safety of patrons and staff, the Rock Island Library will close at 5:00 pm Tuesday and remain closed all day Wednesday.
Due to upcoming inclement weather, all Rock Island Public Library locations will close at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, Jan. 29, and remain closed on Wednesday, January 30, 2019.
All locations should reopen at normal times on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019. If that changes, updates will be sent via Facebook and Twitter.

The Treat Yo'Self Cupcake Decorating event been rescheduled to Saturday, Feb. 2 from 12:30 to 2:00 pm, at the Rock Island 30/31 Library. The event is open to registered participants, who have been notified.
While libraries will be closed, the library's digital services are open. Rock Island Library cardholders with an internet connection can use library services such as OverDrive, eRead Illinois, Hoopla digital, and Biblioboard to download eBooks, audiobooks movies, television shows, music, and more. Patrons may also read current and back issues of popular magazines with Flipster, or download and stream music with Freegal Music.
