On Saturday, July 30, 2022 at approximately 1:24 A.M. the Rock Island Police Department responded to the 1000 block of 11th Avenue in reference to a report of shots fired.

Responding officers located a 43-year-old male with a serious but non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was transported by ambulance to Unity Point Trinity Hospital for medical treatment. During the investigation it was learned that an unidentified suspect shot the victim as he was seated inside his vehicle.

 No arrests have been made at this time and no other injuries or property damage has been reported.

 The incident is being investigated by the Rock Island Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division; no further information is available at this time.
