All Rock Island Library locations will be closed Monday, August 21, for the library's annual staff inservice day. Locations reopen at normal hours on Tuesday, August 22.
All Rock Island Public Library physical locations will be closed Monday, August 21 for the library's annual Staff Inservice Day. The day-long closing affects the Downtown Library, Watts-Midtown Branch, and Southwest Branch, and Library2Go bookmobile routes. Online services and outside book returns will be available.
Library locations reopen with the following hours on Tuesday, August 22:
- Downtown Library, 401 19th Street: 10 am to 6 pm
- Southwest Branch, 9010 Ridgewood Road,:Noon to 8 pm
- Watts-Midtown Branch, 2715 30th Street: 9 am to 8 pm
The Library2Go bookmobile will make its regular afterschool stop at Longfellow Elementary from 3 pm to 4 pm on Tuesday, August 22.
