Each year, residents of Rock Island are encouraged to “Tell on Your Neighbor” by nominating the yards in their neighborhood that they find to be the most beautiful or the most improved. Nominations can be made through August 12. Digital photos of the nominated yards are required. Please do not go on private property. Send the photo and address of the nominated property to the Community Development Department via the e-mail douglass.kathryn@rigov.org. For questions call 309-732-2905.

All entries will be reviewed by the City’s Beautification Commission. Approved nominees will receive certificates of appreciation from Mayor Ashley Harris and the chairman of the Rock Island Arts and Beautification Commission.
