Third Ward Alderwoman Linda Barnes will host a public meeting to help residents better understand the City of Rock Island’s budget process. 

WHEN: Tuesday, Oct. 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

WHERE: City Hall, 1528 Third Ave., in Rock Island City Council Chambers on the third floor.

The meeting will feature:

• An introduction by Ald. Barnes

• A review of the Budget in Brief document by Finance Department staff

• A presentation of the remaining budget schedule by Finance Department staff

• An open forum for public comments and questions
