Fire Station 3
Description:
Fire Station #3 was built in 1988 and serves the eastern edge of the City to 24th Street, including Augustana College and Saukie Golf Course.
The following vehicles are housed at Fire Station #3:
Engine 33: 2002 1500 GPM Alexis Engine/55’ Telesqurt. Engine 33 responds to all fire calls east of 24th Street and also serves as an advanced life support (ALS) engine when responding to assist on medical calls.
Ambulance 33: 2012 Medtec Ambulance. Ambulance 33 serves Rock Island from the eastern edge of the City to 24th Street to 31st Avenue, and all areas south of 31st Avenue to the Rock River. Ambulance 33 provides Paramedic level, advanced life support care. Ambulances also operate on fire calls within the City and are staffed with firefighter/paramedics who participate actively in all fire ground operations.
