Open since 1974, the Rock Island Library Southwest Branch is operated with support from the Milan-Blackhawk Area Public Library District (MBAPLD). It offers convenient library access from Southwest Rock Island and the extended Milan area. The branch includes: 

• Popular materials for all ages, 
• Public computing, WiFi, printing, and copying
• Family and all-age events
• Small community room for library events and public bookings.
