Deer Management Program

Deer Management Program

The Deer Management Program is designed to reduce the number of deer through a controlled archery hunt. This program will run concurrently with the Illinois DNR established bow hunting season. At the end of each season, the program will be evaluated and brought forth to the City Council for future direction.

The Rock Island City Council approved up to eight private and four public hunting sites. All hunters are required to follow State of Illinois hunting laws as well as guidelines established by the City of Rock Island.
