Requirements

A tattoo business license is required for any person engaging in the business of operating a tattooing establishment within the City.

This is an annual license from May 1 through April 30.

Application Fee Required

The application fee is $100.00.

Permit Application Process

Please complete an application and return to the City Clerk's office.

• Prior to the issuance of the license, the applicant must contact the City Health Inspector in the Inspections Division.
• In addition, a State license is required from the Illinois Department of Public Health prior to the issuance of a city license.
