Refuse, Recycling & Yard Waste

Refuse collection is provided by the City on a weekly basis.
Refuse trucks operate Monday through Thursday except on some holidays. Refer to the Holiday Refuse, Recycling, and Yard Waste Collection Schedule for changes.
Residential customers receive one free Special Pickup per calendar year on an appointment basis.
Rock Island residents may also take advantage of the Refuse and Yard Waste Drop Off Center.
