Refuse, Recycling & Yard Waste

  • Refuse collection is provided by the City on a weekly basis.
  • Customers may select either a large 96-gallon or small 48-gallon cart.
  • Refuse trucks operate Monday through Friday except on some holidays. Refer to the holiday collection schedule for changes.
  • Residential customers receive one free Special Pickup per calendar year on an appointment basis.
  • Rock Island residents may also take advantage of the Refuse and Yard Waste Drop Off Center.
