The Emergency Response Team is tasked with handling situations that are beyond the capabilities of routine patrol operations. To accomplish this mission the Emergency Response Team is comprised of a small group of highly skilled officers that are ready to deploy on a 24 hour basis.

  • Barricaded Subjects
  • Hostage Rescue
  • Protection Service
  • Counter-Terrorism
  • Surveillance

Because of its unique operational role’ the Emergency Response Team is an elite unit of highly selective officers from various divisions within the police department. Candidates must be motivated and disciplined individuals with a minimum of 2 years of law enforcement service. New members must attend a physically demanding 70 hours Emergency Service Team Basic Training.

  • Special Weapons
  • Rapid Response
  • Officer Down Rescue
