All changes in traffic control and signage are directed through the City of Rock Island's Traffic Engineering Committee (TEC).

The following are applications for items that the Traffic Engineering Committee reviews:

Submit an Application

Click on an item listed above and you will be given an application to fill out which will be be submitted electronically to the Traffic Engineering Division.  If the request requires a neighborhood petition, print the form/neighborhood petition and either e-mail it to pubworksmail@rigov.org or mail it to City of Rock Island, Public Works Department, Attention Traffic Engineering Committee, 1309 Mill Street, Rock Island, IL  61201. 

Committee Recommendations

The Traffic Engineering Committee review process may take some time due to the thoroughness with which each request is assessed.  

Following the review process, the Traffic Engineering Committee will formulate a recommendation that will be presented to the City Council.  You will receive a letter or an email (if one is provided) with the recommendation and the the date of the City Council meeting at which your request will be discussed.
