Board Responsibilities

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center Board is involved in the continual planning process for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center and the supervision and distribution of the activity fund.

This Board considers policy matters and makes recommendations to the City Council regarding services, priorities, and operation of the facility. Recommendations are channeled through the Director of Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center and the City Manager for their consideration and comments.

This Board operates according to the articles of incorporation and bylaws of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center, Inc., an Illinois not-for-profit corporation.
